Music producer Tommy Mottola, and his wife, Mexican singer and actress Thalía, sold a new mansion in Bal Harbour for nearly $17 million, setting a record for non-waterfront home sales in the luxury enclave.
The sale is one of a few recent notable residential deals in South Florida.
Property records show 174 Camden LLC sold the 8,200-square-foot home at 174 Camden Drive to Holand Land Holdings Florida LLC. The latter is controlled by Canadian car dealership mogul Gad Bitton, who owns Holand Automotive Group. The company has Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, and Lamborghini dealerships, including Lamborghini Palm Beach. The sellers LLC is owned by Mottola and his wife, sources told The Real Deal.
Bitton’s new home has seven bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. It was built by Alex Pirez’s Mocca Realty. Alan Eskenazi of Miles Goldstein Real Estate brokered the off-market deal.
The seller LLC, managed by West Palm Beach attorney Maura Ziska, paid $6.8 million for the 0.3-acre lot in 2023, records show.
Bitton and his wife have owned other real estate in Bal Harbour over the years, including a condo and cabana at the Balmoral, at 9801 Collins Avenue.
Alan Faena’s former Miami Beach mansion sells for $24M

Developer Alan Faena’s former waterfront home at 4731 Pine Tree Drive sold for $24 million. Property records show Pine Tree Property Holdings LLC, led by Alejandro Moreno, sold the 10,000-square-foot, nine-bedroom mansion to AJS Miami. The buyer’s LLC is managed by affordable housing developer Andrew Schwartzberg and his wife, Jaime.
Jordan Karp of Jordan Karp LLC represented the seller. Karp worked with Jennifer Raines Peltz at his brokerage firm and the Corcoran Group’s Meredith Verona to represent the buyer.
The Mediterranean-style estate, called Villa Crono, sits on nearly an acre of land with a courtyard, pool and dock, main house and guest house, gym and steam room. It was built in 1927. Faena sold the property in 2020 for $16.5 million.
